Indie Blog Hop

The indie cause is one that is very important to those of us who appreciate unique literary voices. The voice of thousands of independent authors who are not yet mainstream keep the ideas that are in circulation fresh and at the same time are always pushing the boundaries of an institution that can at times hold their noses a bit too high.

For that reason, I am partaking in the blog hop put together by my friends at allindieebooks.blogspot.com.

Straight from their site are a list of stellar giveaways. Comment on my site or any site in the hop for chance to win. Just remember, the more comments, the more entries you have in to the raffle.

"The hop starts today and will continue for a week. We've got some great e-books to give away, including M.E. Franco's Where Will You Run? (Kindle Edition), the entire Chosen One Trilogy by Mireille Chester, Nicholas Denmon's acclaimed debut mafia crime thriller For Nothing, An Apple for Zoe by Thomas Amo (Kindle Edition), and Allie Burke's Violet Midnight. Paranormal Romance, Horror, Fantasy, Mystery... take your pick. Or don't, because you could win them all."

HER NEWEST RELEASE:

The Blurb:

When the one thing you live for is taken from you, do you let it go or do you fall?

Jade, like any other student at Brushwood High, awaits the start of the school year with a certain measure of dread. Worse, she is being threatened by a voice that only she can hear—a voice that lurks at the edges of her awareness, haunting her and warning her of something unknown. She has always been able to count on her two best friends, Claire and Nate, but can she confide in them now? About this? Would they even believe her?

Life takes a turn for the better when she meets Avan, a darkly handsome new student who, somehow, seems to drown out the voice and make her feel at ease.

But Jade soon comes to realize that good things don’t last forever. When everything spirals out of control, she is shattered by something she never saw coming. Dazed and despairing, she must now overcome tragedy and embrace her true existence and a new but dangerous love.

Will she be able to save herself and those she loves, before it’s too late? Or will she let the surrounding darkness consume her?

For Nothing, by Nicholas Denmon

DESCRIPTION
Undercover cop Alex Vaughn goes deeper than ever into the organized crime family of Buffalo, NY. Motivated by justice and revenge, he seeks out the assassin that laid his friend Jack low.

Professional killer Rafael Rontego traverses the deadly politics of Buffalo’s mafia underbelly. In a city whose winter can be just as deadly as those wielding power, Rontego tries to stay ahead of the game.

Their two worlds collide in this epic thriller that takes the reader on a search for self, justice, and truth.

MY TAKE...Take it to the Mattresses!
For all the Mafia thriller junkies out there...FOR NOTHING is your "fix".

Able to compete with Goodfellas, Sopranos, and The Godfather, Nicolas Denmon has created a story that will have you on the edge of your seat, and unable to put it down.

What first attracted me to this book was the cover. The clever art caught my eye, and as I'm a big believer in judging a book by its cover, I knew the contents would be just as intriguing.

I was right!

When I read the sample, I couldn't get enough...I was hooked! The author's description of every scene and every emotion put me in the center of the pages of this book, and at times, I wondered if it was me who was standing over the body or stepping into the dark alley...

Rafael is a ruthless killer, but Alex is out for revenge. At the center of everything, war is being waged between the Mafia families. Never a dull moment in this action-packed thriller.

Very well organized--no pun intended!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Mafia wars and bloodshed at its best.

Looking forward to book two.
